Halloween

Just like my mom, I'm sort of a Halloween scrooge.  I don't enjoy the costumes and the candy part, but with our big garden and a husband who loves planting lots of pumpkins, I've started to enjoy the decorating!  Here's a few pictures of our pumpkins this year . . .

Jon always lets the kids draw their face then carves it for them.  I especially love Jacob's pumpkin, and I love the picture of Megan with hers!

Last night we went to Boo at the Zoo.  The kids loved it.  Jacob tried for the costume contest.  The radio announcer there had a bunch of kids tell him their name into the microphone.  When he accidentally asked Jacob his name a second time, Jacob looked a little confused and said into the mike "I already told you!  Jacob!"  Everyone got a good laugh from that.  Jacob also kept saying "Happy trick or treat!"  at the candy booths.  What a fun night!  Jacob was a monkey (just like last year) and Megan was a fairy.

We are all looking forward to a fun night tomorrow doing a little trick-or-treating and giving out candy and free bowling passes to the few kids who come to our door!
