Katie decided that she wanted to learn to play her violin, a real song, so she and I spent and hour or so one day working through VIP Strings Book 1. She learned so quickly and was so excited that she made it to Rainbow! She is so much fun!
We got two cats--Max and Pumpkin! Max is 10 and Pumpkin is 5 and much more snuggly. It took them a few days to feel comfortable in their new home (Max hid under the deck and we had a little scare when Pumpkin ran away for a couple days) but once we let the kids sleep in the sun room with them and got them their scratching post/hideaway, they have been happy!
The kids had a reading night at school and we got to see Jacob's book report poster on display in his classroom. He did a great job with his review of Kidnapped. His teacher was very impressed and said that he had his whole class captivated with his report. He has discovered an author that he loves and is becoming quite a reader!
Jacob and Katie were both spotlighted at church on the same day. Here are their spotlight sheets, along with some pictures they took on Jon's phone. Such fun kids!
What a great cat room. I think your cats are bigger than our dog! We can't wait to visit!
