Hotel life and exploring the area

We've now been in NY for just over a week. We've enjoyed our first Sunday in the Glenville Ward, Jacob's first scout meeting, lots of walks and time at the hotel in the room, at the pool, playing tennis and basketball, and eating free breakfast and cookies! Jon had his first few days of work and is enjoying his new job. Here are some pictures of our hotel:

Today we went to the Strawberry Festival in Schenectady. On the way we stopped to fish at Lock 7 of the Erie Canal and we got to see the lock drain to let in a boat then fill up to let the boat out the other side! We also stopped at Lisha Kill Preserve for a beautiful and refreshing hike! Later Megan had her first playdate with Sophie Madsen. We are glad that she is already making friends!
