Christmas good samaritans
We learned the hard way last weekend not to take the minivan to cut down our Christmas tree. We got stuck when Jon tried to move over for a truck coming from the other direction. A really nice guy and his family came to our rescue, hooked us up to their old but powerful van and towed us to a place to pull off and turn around. Then I stayed in the car with a sick Katie and told Jon and the kids to go find us a tree. They came back with this and we made it down the mountain with no mishaps.
It was a fun adventure, and we were really grateful for our "good samaritans." Here is the final product (with more lights and ornaments than branches but with sweet memories!)

Kim, you are a good sport! You'll be glad you took pictures because someday you are going to look back and get a good laugh out of a less-than-fortunate experience. What a nice story about a good Samaritan. Thanks for sharing.
