Family time

The Hirschis made it to town late on the night of Megan and Jacob's last day of school--just in time to celebrate the start of our summer with us! We had soo much fun with them. The kids loved spending time in the creek at Kinns Road Park trying to catch minnows with tin foil traps and playing in the mud. They also practiced plays (Megan and Bri), played board games, made ankle bracelets, enjoyed the bounce houses and virtual reality at the mall, and more. Cody bought live lobster for our dinner one night and Jacob contributed a crawdad that he caught in the creek.

Grandma and Grandpa Perkins flew in a few days later on the way to a business trip for grandpa in Montreal and we enjoyed time with them. They got to come to Jacob's first swim lesson then we all took a trip to Bolton's Landing for some fun in Lake George where John Tanner was baptized.

Tuesday morning the Hirschis continued on to Palymra and Grandma and Grandpa left with Megan for a few days in Montreal. Megan got to go to Six Flags and the mall and practice sketching while she was with them.

While they were gone, Jacob and Katie and I kept up with Jacob's swim lessons and went to the park. We also went to cub scout pack meeting for s'mores :)

We met back up with Grandma and Grandpa Perkins at Six Flags Great Escape on Friday. We enjoyed some rides then were caught in a major rain shower and came home soaking wet! We enjoyed two more days with them with walks and games and good food until they had to leave for home.
